Students will learn the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system and gain a greater understanding of this amazing unique system.

As a Registered Nurse who specialized in Cardiology for over 10 years, I've always been fascinated by the heart, respiratory, skeletal, and nervous systems.  This class gives me the opportunity to teach children about this specific system and its significance in the body. I traveled many years in the field of Cardiac Consulting to assist with the implementation of Cardiac Surgery centers throughout the country.  Bringing this learning opportunity to children is a passion of mine.  Young learners are like a sponge and open to grasp complex anatomy when presented in this unique format.  I truly enjoy seeing the children's expressions when they learn fun facts about the respiratory system!

I will provide a diagram should the students want to color or label the parts of the respiratory system and major pathways.  They can also use this for notes to remember the different areas we cover in class. I will post this to the classroom prior to our first meeting.

**Students will also receive an optional homework assignment after each session which will be posted in the classroom.
