Hello everyone! I am excited to meet you! I have been a teacher and private tutor for all ages for over 20 years, and I love my job! I enjoy teaching my students to love learning and to have fun while we learn. I am passionate about discovering how each student learns best and finding the explanation and practice methods that spark the confidence of true understanding. I teach many exciting subjects like Spanish, coding, robotics, and design and join students on adventures in English (including ESOL), science, and math. 


My love for learning helped me graduate summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in interior design as the Highest-Ranking Senior of the University in my graduation year. I especially loved the computer imaging and drafting portions of my degree and continued my study of computer applications after college. I earned a Tutor 1 certification from the College Reading and Learning Association and have extended my teacher training and passed Texas state tests for a generalist teacher in grades pre-k through 8 and ESL. I am a licensed Brain Gym Movement Facilitator, so I can benefit my students through educational kinesthetic movements as well. I also have certifications in TEFL and TESOL, and I have taught English to speakers of other languages for years. I have helped English learners acquire essential skills from many aspects of language arts, including grammar, pronunciation, reading, writing, speaking, and test preparation. I love to encourage active conversation by finding topics students are passionate about to discuss with them. Homeschooling my own three children has also allowed me to develop proficiency in an even more comprehensive range of subject matter to accommodate their varied interests.

In my free time, I love to hang out with my husband and three teenagers, our cat, Sugar, and our spoiled little rescue dog, Ellie. I enjoy reading, walking with friends, and learning new skills and fascinating things about the world! Your child’s interests are important to me. I enjoy teaching my students to love learning and to have fun while exploring different educational opportunities.
