Students will be given the opportunity to work with skills they are not confident in - included reading fluency and reading comprehension (understand what is being read).

Topics covered will included reading comprehension, reading fluency and sight word recognition. Once students have mastered these skills, we will move into grade level-based reading work such as but not limited to - main idea, sequencing, compare and contrast, fiction vs. non-fiction and different types of stories (ex. myths, folktales, fables).

Learners will interact with me via games and discussions. I will use PowerPoints to guide reading lessons which will include anchor charts and interactive YouTube videos throughout.

My teaching style is serious but fun! I enjoy playing games with students while walking them through areas where they are not as confident to build reading practices.
