This class program designed to help students with literacy difficulties improve their reading skills. It meets once a week.  Students will be taught literacy skills that will help them read faster and with more accuracy. This program is comparable to the content in my private reading sessions which most of my learners see reading improvement after a couple of sessions.

The program is designed for students who are struggling with fluency and phonemic awareness. Learners should be reading on a 2nd grade level to start this class.  Please see Pre-Reqs for more details.  

Each Week your student will:
✔️2 Live class: we will learn new sounds, blending techniques, and new words
✔️ Receive a word list to practice segment, spelling, and reading
✔️ Receive a list of sounds for the week with words to practice with the sounds

The structured literacy approach is a research-based instructional method that teaches students to read by breaking down words into smaller parts. It focuses on teaching phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension in a structured and sequential manner. This method works well for struggling readers because it provides them with a clear and consistent framework for learning how to read.
