Students will read out loud with the teacher and independently from full texts or text excerpts according to the age. Depending on the level and needs of the student, the class will cover reading comprehension and recalling information, story elements or analysis, word pronunciation and word understanding. We will also work on building confidence in reading. Homework may be assigned. During the first session with your child, I will get to know him or her and assess where they are as a reader. I am a secondary English teacher with a calm and patient approach to learning. My classes are tailored to the individual student. I look forward to working with your child!
