Whether your child needs help with reading comprehension, or is struggling with state reading assessments, this class is designed with them in mind. In this class, I will teach students the exact steps that have helped students to be able to sift through various text to locate and find information needed in order to answer various types of comprehension questions that include multiple choice and extended response answers. - Build on prior knowledge - Build confidence as readers and learners - Learn how to identify key words in questions -Learn how to skim text to find information - Gain life-long skills necessary to extract information from a text to aid with understanding
This process is what I have used to successfully help countless students including my own children with reading comprehension. I am a 14 year teacher with a Masters of Education as well as a Reading Endorsement.
