- Students will learn: * How to apply their verbal language skills to illustrations in order to practice their visualizing skills. * How to attach an image in their mind to verbal language in order to practice their skills in describing an image. * How to create a mental image for written sentences and paragraphs in order to comprehend the written word and answer comprehension questions.
As a special education teacher for 24 years, I have been using the Lindamood Bell techniques for decoding, comprehension, and math. This class will use the "Visualize & Verbalize" program which focuses on reading comprehension skills. The Lindamood Bell method combines auditory, visual, and language skills for a comprehensive approach for the struggling learner.
