每週 1 小時. Children are actively encouraged to read and re-read the Ratus stories we have done in class (Please do not work ahead as we have specific ideas to present in class.) Students can and should read other materials such as library books and trade books. The "Ratus Poche" yellow level books are designed for this level of reading and can be great fun; the red level are challenging but possible. Students can enjoy Sesame Street and other children's TV in French -- I will provide some links in class. Outside practice should be fun. Students may recite verb conjugations as a memory aid; just a few minutes twice a day as a personal challenge. I will provide some links in class.評估
This is an interactive class and students are assessed continuously as we go. A certificate of achievement can be provided on request.我們無法翻譯此文,請刷新頁面並再試一次。
課堂經歷
NOTE TO PARENTS: I can offer discounts according to need. Please just message me privately and we can talk. We have already completed Grade 1 and learned to read almost anything in French. Students who have done Grade 1 in other classes are very welcome to join. This class can also be used for review and upgrading after Grade 2 if students want to improve their skills. We will do some review and move on to more stories and books, and we will work more on writing. We use both print and cursive depending on the students' home schools. Wed are now writing full sentences and short paragraphs. We will work on spelling as well. We will introduce some more ideas of grammar. This is a highly structured, teacher-directed class. It is highly interactive and communication based, in French. Students need to participate, to ask and to answer questions, to read sentences and words and paragraphs, to copy words and sentences, and to make up sentences on their own. In order to interact continuously, students must have a camera and microphone and keep them on, Since we are conversing back and forth constantly, students should finish their snacks before class. In this unit, we will review some topics from Grade 1 reading, especially vowel sounds and spellings. We will read the first half of unit 7 in the Ratus text (Continued from Grade 1) as well as reviewing material from unit 1 to 6. We will use selected material from Les Superheros de l'Orthographe (Spelling Superheros) , Defis 100% Francais (French 100% Challenge) for grammar etc,, Je Lis (I Read) , and other appropriate material. 學習目標
Students will move into genuinely independent reading. By now we have covered 95% of the common phonetic patterns in French and we have built up a known vocabulary of several hundred words. Students can enjoy age/grade appropriate books from any source.
Students will express themselves better in French, will speak in complete sentences, and will write meaningful sentences. They will recognize and use present, past, and future. We will continue work on masculine and feminine, singular and plural, in context.
Students will extend their vocabulary. We will study vocabulary directly from pictures, learn vocabulary in context in stories we read, and develop vocabulary that students ask about.
Students will write their own simple sentences and paragraphs. They will use French phonics to spell at least 90% correctly; they will recognize and remember silent letters in common words and conjugations.

父母的引導和規範
We discuss wide ranging topics. As students become more able to express themselves, they will say many different things. Openness and tolerance are encouraged. Negative comments about other people are not permitted period and any student who behaves in this way will be removed to a different room. If sensitive topics come up, at this age I will always refer back to parents.
We may read a few extracts from kids' Wikipedia or other resources in French. Again, all efforts will be made to keep things age and grade appropriate.
Parents are asked to remind students not to give out details such as exact birthdays or addresses. We do sometimes talk about home cities/states and climates and time zones, which are interesting and necessary, but nothing that can identify a specific location or person.
供應清單
Please see the text list given above. Students should have a gel pen or fine marker (Please, not pencils -- hard to write smoothly and fluently, and hard to see on camera) They also should have coloured pencils or markers to do colouring exercises as we go. They need a plain notebook to write in -- primary interlined notebooks are really good to help with letter formation, but any clean fresh notebook will do. They need a good open area on a desk or table where they can write with free arm motion, and good lighting. I am going to test out a webcam mirror which allows real-time viewing of written material placed on the keyboard. If it works well I will recommend it and pass on the link -- an excellent way to share in online classes. As this is a highly interactive class, students need a webcam and a microphone and in general will keep them open all class. Some students find earphones helpful to cut out noises around them. A headphone set with attached personal microphone may help cut out feedback, which can be a problem, and cut noise from other people in the environment which is sometines a problem.
