This class serves as a way for young learners to enhance their understanding of race and ethnicity in a multicultural world. Students will see rainbow friends doing different jobs to show that one's color of skin doesn't limit one's aspiration and careers.
As a teacher and person of color, I regularly have to discuss race, ethnicity and diversity. In the classroom, I regularly work with students who have had limited interactions with a black person (I have taught English in South Korea, Japan, Ecuador, Chile, Costa Rica and the USA. I have been teaching Chinese children online for more than 4 years.) Lastly, I have a BA in Sociology from UCLA in Los Angeles. I have traveled to more than 30 countries.. With a combination of real life experiences and cultural studies in college, I am eager to share the beauty of our diverse global community through drawings of my original characters, Rainbow Friends.
