Please note that while this course will be available for 12 weeks, content will be uploaded for only 8 weeks--I am providing an extra month of access as I know that students may need more time to complete their projects! All sewing will be demonstrated both on a machine and by hand. If your student needs help setting up their machine, please message me! Materials listed below are to make a 7'x9' quilt (large enough to easily cover a double bed.) If you want to make a larger or smaller...
Students will learn all the steps of quilting. Students will learn sewing basics. Students will learn to be precise in their work.

Depending on size, patterns, etc., fabric needs may vary. Students will need about 8 yards of fabric for the front of the quilt (varied patterns/designs), and 8.5 yards for the backing. They will also need about 8 yards of batting (middle layer). Fabric can be second-hand, repurposed, etc. Rotator blade Fabric scissors Ruler/square edge Cutting mat (optional) Pins Needles/threads (matching/coordinating colours or a beige) Sewing machine (optional) Purple elmers glue (optional)
Sewing scissors, rotator blades, and sewing machines can be dangerous. Provide supervision as needed.
