This class is for students who love to play games and would like to learn how to create them. The course uses GUI (graphical user interface) to make the games interactive and fun. Python is a great language to pick and is much in demand. Learn how to use the GUI libraries to create your own video game in Python. Students will code in an online editor if they are above 13yrs old else will use VS code and understand the basics of python and create 2 fun games using tkinter library. Day 1: Introduction to online editor and basics of GUI library Day 2 : Learning about Buttons , Canvas, Entry, Frame , Label, Menu , Message and Text widgets. Day 3 ,4 and 5 : Creating the Memory Game : Using 3 pairs , students will create the fun memory game by implementing frames , conditionals and labels Day 6 , 7 and 8 : Creating Guess the Word Game : Using conditionals and random library we create the traditional guess the word game with fun colours This is a highly interactive class where students are required to code alongside the teacher. They will be asked to send their codes for testing to the teacher via repl or zoom chat during the live session. it is important to have an account created on repl.it to be able to begin the lessons. A basic knowledge of python would also help although it is not mandatory and the teacher will explain the logics.
