Chernobyl, the Titanic, the Space Shuttle Challenger Disaster, Hurricane Katrina, the Exxon Oil Spill, the Halifax Explosion.....the list of disasters that could have been prevented goes on. 

How do these disasters happen? Could they have been prevented with better decision making?  

Many organizations use the motto Semper Paratus, which means 'always ready'. In order to solve or prevent any kind of problem, it is important to be prepared with the right information, technology, and other tools.  

In this class, I will share some basic problem-solving and decision-making techniques and provide a review of key concepts in project management. Tools we will go over include the Five Whys, the Six Thinking Hats, and the SWOT analysis.
