課堂經歷
Kickstart young learners’ passion for programming with this project-based Scratch course! Design games and solve unique problems using Scratch, a block-based coding environment created by MIT. Students will create games that they can play and share with friends and family. All lessons are project-based, with 8 fun guided projects that allow students to practice new programming concepts. All students will be asked to apply what they’ve learned to create a final project of their own design which will be presented on the last day of class. There will be some reinforcement quizzes for students to complete after lessons, along with review games that will be played in the final class meetings to ensure students remember material and are prepared to take the next steps in their programming adventures. For a week to week program, check out the syllabus.
學習目標
Students will learn to create Scratch programs, design games, and solve programming challenges, gaining a comprehensive grasp of Scratch 3.0. They'll master fundamental programming principles and explore advanced topics.

Dear Parents,
Welcome to Project-Based Scratch Level 1. In this online live course, students will learn how to create block-based programs with Scratch, make games, and solve programming problems. All lessons are project-based, and each lesson contains one fun guided project that allows students to practice new programming concepts. All students will be asked to apply what they’ve learned to create a final project of their own design which will be presented on the last day of class. The best projects will be displayed on the student showcase page on our website, and will earn students a special honors title on their course completion certificates. There will be some reinforcement quizzes for students to complete after lessons, along with review games that will be played in the final class meetings to ensure students remember material and are prepared to take the next steps in their programming adventures.
To get started, please register an account at https://scratch.mit.edu/. Please verify your account email address by opening the verification email you are sent when you create an account. This step allows students to share their projects with instructors if they need help, and also show off their creations to others. To explore some ideas, there are many project projects posted in the official Scratch website https://scratch.mit.edu/explore/projects/all. You may also find inspiration from Scratch programming videos on YouTube.
Important notes:
Student final projects that receive honors or high honors awards may be shared on our website as part of our student showcase. We will only ever share the publicly available project content from Scratch. If you do not want your child’s final project added to this showcase if they are a winner, please contact us to let us know.
As per Outschool Policy: For the safety of all students, all cameras must be on at the start of every class meeting to verify learner identity. We encourage students to keep their cameras on for the entire duration of class as it helps to create an engaging learning environment. The camera safety check is mandatory.
