Growing up can be exciting and overwhelming all at once! This is the perfect time to start connecting what you like to do with what you may decide to do in the future. In this fun and interactive course, students will explore how to land the job of their dreams with a professional resume. Students also learn common work related terminology to prepare them for career decisions and discussions in the future. Resume Builder Session 1: Resume Basics Put it on paper! Students will learn about resumes and start drafting their own. Session 2: Resume Review Checking it twice! Students will review their resume, filling in any holes and making corrections as needed. Our classroom is a collaborative community that is a safe space for sharing doubts and excitement related to preparing for adulthood. Students are expected to be respectful to others as they learn together, but also be ready to have fun, crack jokes, and support each other. Students are welcomed to share their personal experiences in class for additional guidance or to help others. The primary goal of my classes is that students leave more confident and prepared to define their future.
