There is so much more to learn now that you have started to get familiar with all of the different tools in Procreate. The best way to learn is by doing! Join me each week as we discover a new technique or unexplored aspect of the program. Week by week you will increase your knowledge of the app, increase your painting skills and even have some fun along the way! Each lesson is a stand alone lesson and you can join at any time! The material for each lesson will be a surprise, as I find subjects that will lend themselves to the techniques we are learning. Want to join in on a different digtal drawing app -no problem! As long as you are completely comfortable in the program that you are using, join us and have some fun! If you are looking to stretch your student while increasing their knowledge- this is the class for you! Students in this club are operating at a high level of understanding of Procreate - this class moves along quickly and operates on the understanding that students are aware of, and working with, all concepts covered in my Intro class. This is NOT a directed drawing class - the assignment is given and we all draw together. I am available for questions, to help students think how they will approach the weeks's prompt, encouragement and critique. If you would like a directed drawing class- please look at my Kawaii classes! We spend a lot of our time chatting about subjects that the students enjoy while we are drawing. A highly social, creative environemnt is what you find in the Procreate Digital Painting Club! ****I strongly suggest taking my Procreate 101 class before you join the Digital Painting Club. (Donut) This class will move along quickly as it operates on the understanding that all concepts taught in the Intro series are understood and familiar. Concepts and projects are presented, and students are encouraged to make them their own by infusing their style and their own techniques. This is not a directed drawing class****

Learners will need Ipad, Stylus/ Apple pencil, Procreate loaded onto their Ipad. This club is best suited to those learners that have taken the Intro courses that I offer. For those using any other software please have your software updated and ready to go and your drawing devices fully charged. Procreate( or Procreate Pocket) is a drawing app that I w ill be using for these classes. In terms of adhering to COPPA guidelines, Procreate and Pocket Procreate does not collect, use, or disclose personal information from children. Procreate DOES NOT require and personal information as defined below: It does NOT require: First and last name; A home or other physical address including street name and name of a city or town; Online contact information; A screen or user name that functions as online contact information; A telephone number; A Social Security number; A persistent identifier that can be used to recognize a user over time and across different websites or online services; A photograph, video, or audio file, where such file contains a child’s image or voice; Geolocation information sufficient to identify street name and name of a city or town; or Information concerning the child or the parents of that child that the operator collects online from the child and combines with an identifier described above. This is an app that is purchased through the App store as a one time purchase with no additional communication or logging in to access. One purchased- no further contact is necessary nor account to access. .

I am a professional artist, children's book illustrator and stage artist- my works have been exhibited around the world. I love working with the next generation of artists, teaching them my trade and nurturing their talent in an encouraging environment. I am a fast teacher that teaches a lot of information in my classes. Students that have studied with me for years are producing exceptional works that make my heart sing! :-)
I love teaching art to creative young minds and have taught in my community for over 15 years! I have taught homeschool art classes from ages 5-18 and I have also had the privilege of teaching art at local preschools AND I have taught art at nursing homes and retirement communities. This has given me to chance to teach from ages 2-92! I love exploring creativity through the lens of "You can do it - and I can teach you how!" No matter a student's current ability, with proven visual aids and assistance, I can help my students reach their personal goals. If they have the passion to learn, they WILL improve their skills!
As a means to help my students, I am continually improving my own skills, I stay current by continually practicing my own art and learning new techniques, while working with my agent in licensing my artwork. I stay current in my field so that I can keep my students current on trends and methodology.
It is my joy to learn and to teach!
Please note:
*My classes cover a lot of material and are jam-packed full of information that deal with the nuts and bolts of the apps that I teach.
*My classes are fast-paced and full of information and practical applications.
*For most classes, uploads are required before class begins. Please check the classroom beforehand to ensure that all the files are loaded and ready to go in the Procreate gallery. We need every second of class time for instruction.
*I strongly encourage students to take my classes in order. There are many things to be learned in each class and each lesson builds on material presented in the previous classes.
*While I am teaching, I can not answer emails and try to honor my families time by keeping office hours of M-Fr 9-5 for communications.
One last note: It is better for your student to take my classes on two devices ---one to draw on and one to watch the Zoom class! If this is not an option, remember that the recordings will be available after class!! My classes are jam packed with information and tend to move quickly!
Your student CAN do this - I CAN teach them how!
