In this beginner-friendly class, learners will discover how to create beautiful frame-by-frame animations using Procreate on iPad. Through step-by-step instruction, students will explore the basics of movement, timing, and storytelling—all while learning to use Procreate’s animation features like the Animation Assist tool. Each class includes fun warm-ups, live demonstrations, and plenty of time for students to animate their own ideas. Learners will build confidence with digital drawing while bringing characters and objects to life on screen. This class is perfect for young creators who enjoy art, cartoons, or storytelling.

Procreate is a third-party app that must be downloaded before class. No account is required to use the animation features. Class content is age-appropriate and does not include any upsetting or sensitive material.

No previous animation experience is required. Learners should be comfortable using an iPad and Apple Pencil (or compatible stylus), and be able to follow basic digital drawing instructions. Familiarity with Procreate’s basic drawing tools.
