YAY for problem solving and logic thinking.  During our three days together, students will learn about inductive thinking, deductive thinking, and problem-solving methods.  Each day we will have new vocabulary words to use during the discussion.  Students will be shown power point slides (using the screen sharing aspect of zoom) giving examples of inductive and deductive reasoning and then they will be allowed to create their own example.  We will make real life applications of how and when we use problem solving as well as inductive and deductive thinking.  

Day 1 - Deductive thinking - concluding activity solving a logic problem together

Vocabulary 
- problem - a question, situation, matter, or personal conflict to be considered, solved, or answered
- solution - a positive outcome or answer to a problem
- option - something chosen or available as a choice
- advantage - a beneficial factor or combination of factors that make a solution more desirable
- disadvantage - an unfavorable condition or circumstance that makes a solution less desirable; a drawback
