每週 1-2 小時. The homework assigned in this course will reinforce concepts covered in class and provide opportunities for students to practice their skills independently. Here's what students can expect: Type of Homework: - Problem-Solving Exercises: These exercises will involve solving problems related to probability and statistics, applying the concepts learned in class. - Data Analysis Projects: Students will work on real-world data analysis projects to apply their statistical knowledge to practical situations. - Readings and Reflections: Students may be assigned readings or articles related to the topics covered in class, followed by reflective questions or discussions. Frequency of Assignments: - Homework will be assigned weekly, with assignments corresponding to the topics covered in class during that week. Checking for Correctness: - Instructor Feedback: For assignments requiring subjective evaluation, such as data analysis projects, students will receive personalized feedback from the instructor. Required Assignments: - While all assignments are designed to reinforce learning and are highly encouraged, students are not required to submit their homework to me. Overall, homework assignments are designed to be engaging and relevant to students' learning objective. They serve as valuable opportunities for students to apply and consolidate their understanding of probability and statistics concepts.

學習目標

Students will learn the following:

1. Basic Probability Concepts:
   - Understand the fundamental principles of probability.
   - Calculate probabilities of simple and compound events.
   - Apply probability rules to solve problems.

2. Probability Distributions:
   - Identify and describe different types of probability distributions, including binomial
      and normal distributions.
   - Calculate probabilities using probability distribution functions.
   - Interpret probabilities in real-world contexts.

3. Descriptive Statistics:
   - Calculate and interpret measures of central tendency, including mean, median, and
  mode.
   - Calculate and interpret measures of variability, including standard deviation and
  variance.
   - Use descriptive statistics to summarize and describe data sets.

4. Inferential Statistics:
   - Understand the concepts of population and sample.
   - Conduct hypothesis tests to make inferences about population parameters.
   - Construct and interpret confidence intervals.

5. Real-World Applications:
   - Apply probability and statistics concepts to real-life situations, such as analyzing
sports data, predicting outcomes, and evaluating risks.
   - Use statistical software or tools to perform data analysis.

6. Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving:
   - Analyze and interpret data critically.
   - Formulate hypotheses and design experiments.
