Hello, and welcome to Ms. Mandy's Chinese Mandarin Class! ❤️ This class is designed for learners at different levels of Chinese language proficiency. It’s customized lessons in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, tailored to individual levels. I will use children's Chinese textbooks that follow a progressive learning curve, ensuring steady progress. With a variety of teaching methods, our classes are not only informative but also engaging. Class can be Cantonese or English immersion as explanation, providing ample time for Mandarin practice. Here are more details about the class: ☑️LEARNERS: For children aged 8-13 at different Chinese language levels. With a maximum of three students who are siblings or with similar language levels in a class. ☑️LESSON GOALS: For beginners, we focus on basic conversation and vocabulary, gradually building their language skills. For learners with prior knowledge of Chinese, we enhance their speaking and listening abilities while gradually mastering reading and writing through comprehensive lessons. ☑️COURSE: Each class is customized based on the learners' language levels. We use Chinese textbooks integrated with diverse teaching methods, including songs, storybooks, and flashcards. Classes are ongoing. Each week follows a progressive pace, combining new learning, review, practice, and reinforcement. Lessons cover words, pronunciation, phrases, sentences, characters, and articles in a step-by-step approach. ☑️AFTER CLASS: Learners receive useful notes and homework each week to reinforce their learning. 🌈Lessons are prepared in simplified Chinese with English guidance by default. Cantonese guidance can be arranged upon advance request. ⭐️If you have specific scheduling requirements or questions about your learners' language levels, please don't hesitate to contact me. This will allow me to design a curriculum that meets their needs, as we utilize different Chinese textbooks based on students' proficiency. 🌈Please note that class has a maximum of 3 students. If learners wish to join in the middle of the program after the class has started, kindly message me about their Chinese Mandarin level before registration. As our curriculum is continuous, it's important for learners to join at an appropriate point based on their language level. Hello there!
I'm Ms. Mandy, and I'm thrilled to introduce myself to you. As a dedicated and experienced teacher fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English, I am passionate about sharing the beauty of the Chinese language and culture with my students.
Teaching is my calling, and I approach every lesson with patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for what I do. I firmly believe that each child is unique and full of potential, which is why I create a nurturing and supportive environment that encourages exploration, discovery, and growth.
In addition to my passion for teaching, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in China, a Master's Degree in Accountancy from Canada, and I am a Certified Professional Accountant in Canada. During my spare time, I have been teaching and tutoring kids in learning Chinese. Over the past few years, I have had the pleasure of helping students master hundreds of Chinese characters, enabling them to communicate using simple Chinese words and even read Chinese children's books on their own.
Teaching and watching little ones grow in the classroom brings me immense joy. I have a natural affinity for interacting with kids, and I approach every lesson with passion, patience, and a deep desire to share knowledge and inspire learners to explore new things. In my lessons, I not only focus on professional teaching skills but also dedicate myself to stimulating children's interest in this learning journey.
My classes provide Mandarin/English or Mandarin/Cantonese/English immersion environments. They are tailored to kids of different language levels, ages, and demands. Throughout the class, children will learn words, vocabulary, phrases, and sentences in Chinese. I employ diverse teaching methods, such as songs, PowerPoint presentations, whiteboards, dolls, storybooks, games, cartoons, and flashcards. After each class, I summarize what was learned and provide review and practice materials. For private and advanced classes, I utilize standard Chinese textbooks according to learners' Chinese levels.
Beyond language acquisition, I also believe in fostering an understanding and appreciation for Chinese culture. Through cultural activities, storytelling, and interactive lessons, you will gain a deeper insight into the rich traditions and customs of China.
