Every writer has a voice and a story to share! Working one-on-one is the perfect way for any level of writer to practice the craft of writing. Through individualized instruction each writer will be nurtured to grow in confidence while writing about topics of interest. Prior to class the teacher will contact the learner’s family regarding specific writing goals and desired focus for the lesson. Class will be structured with a warm up, focused writing activity, time for drafting, and individualized feedback from the teacher. Each writer will be encouraged to continue developing work after class and will have the opportunity to send writing to the teacher for feedback between lessons.

Writers will practice the brainstorming and drafting stages of the writing process.
Writers will be guided with individualized instruction while integrating the writing traits of ideas, organization, sentence fluency, voice and word choice.
Writers will be nurtured with a love of writing.
