私人小提琴或中提琴課程

Students will learn in a one on one format where their needs and skills will drive the direction of the course. 
Each week will be a progression at the student's own pace and style. 

Students and parents can expect a tailored course of instruction that is responsive to each student's own strengths and needs. My teaching style is student centered, where what each student loves, what inspires them, and their own unique approach to learning is an important part of creating personalized lesson plans using a mixture of different methods, exercises, and approaches to learning. Students are challenged with new skills regularly, improving their ability as they master each new task. 

In general I prefer to use the Suzuki method, but I also teach other curriculums, based on each student. 
For beginners I recommend Suzuki Violin book 1. For Viola beginners, I also recommend Suzuki Volume 1 for Viola. 
Suzuki moves quickly, and is engaging, using mostly pieces of music to teach specific skills, and skewing towards a more classical style of playing. This book is good for both beginners who have no experience, and students who have some prior experience with another course or method and want a little refresher.

If you've prior experience, you can bring past music and books to your first lesson, so we can assess your playing level and determine what kind of curriculum would work for your needs.
