Private lessons for violin or viola and fiddle mastery. We will focus on playing technique, posture, ear training and listening, and building repertoire. Posture skills include: Bow grip Wrist movements Playing in the correct location on the strings Holding the instrument correctly on the shoulder Correct finger position on the fingerboard Technique skills include: Pizzicato-plucking the strings Legato-long smooth bows Staccato and Spicatto - short bow strokes Intonation-listening and playing in tune

Hello Learners and Families,
I'm Stacey Sinclair. I am a musician, violinist, fiddle player, writer, coder, and more. Above all, I am a teacher. I am excited to bring my love of teaching to Outschool! I have a master's degree in education and over 10 years of experience teaching students of all ages.
My philosophy is that you are never done learning! I strive to foster a lifelong sense of curiosity and confidence in every student. I model this by pursuing continuous improvement as a teacher and musician. Beginners through advancing strings students will experience encouraging instruction and see improvement. Check out my Fundamental Foundations class to have fun starting strings with good technique. Try Fiddle Fun to learn a new genre and develop ear training skills. I also offer 1 on 1 lessons and coaching for violin, viola, and cello students. You can learn more about my music teaching at www.staceyraesinclair.com.
