These tutoring sessions will be tailored to the child's specific needs. The lessons will be structured, sequential and cumulative. Each class will run in the exact same format as to instill confidence and security in the child. I will follow a lesson plan that includes a visual drill, blending drill, and auditory drill. I am a licensed teacher in the State of Indiana with over 25 years experience teaching, tutoring and coaching. I have been trained in the Orton-Gillingham method by The Dyslexia Institute of Indiana and in Kindergarten OG by the M.A. Rooney Foundation. I have completed Advanced Orton-Gillingham Training and Written Expression Training through the Dyslexia Institute of Indiana. I have completed courses on Dyslexia and structured literacy through the Montessori Foundation. I have also taken a Conscious Discipline training. I am a professional member of the International Dyslexia Association. I am currently working on LETRS training through Voyager Sopris Learning and have completed Units 1-7 with Certificates of Mastery. In 2018-2020 I worked in a private Montessori school serving students who have Individual Service Plans.
