- Students will move forward in the application essay process. Depending on the number of sessions and desired focus, they might develop a plan for writing, write a rough draft, hone their personal voice, or revise and edit their essay.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in English, and held a Professional Teaching Certificate in Florida to teach English in grades 6-12. For the past several years I have been tutoring students in writing, in-person and online, including Common App, ISEE, state Governor's School, and other application essays.

Students should have the application / essay prompt(s) for the first session, as well as be prepared to take notes, whether that's by hand or on a device.
