The content will be determined based on student need and parent request. An informal reading and/or writing assessment along with parent requests will be used to guide instruction. I like to utilize content that students enjoy. Each student will complete an interest inventory during the first tutoring session. Instructional Framework Mini Lesson: Check-In question, game, and introduction/review of learning strategy Work Session: Students work on learning strategy with gradual release from teacher Ticket Out the Door: Students complete a mini assessment to determine mastery Curriculum and Resources Examples Instructional Videos Epic Reading IXL Writing Workshop Reading Workshop Sample Lessons: Phonemic Awareness Phonics Reading Fluency Reading Comprehension Narrative Writing Opinion Writing Argumentative Writing Informational Writing Homework Support
