In this private tutoring class, the student and I will work together to improve their math skills. It is offered for students studying K through 5th grade standards regardless of their age. We will use direct instruction, manipulatives, and games to become more confident with various types of math problems.  We will discuss why a method of solving a problem works and different ways to solve problems.  Topics will be determined by student's needs.  This could be done through parent request or a skills inventory.  After each tutoring session homework will be assigned to practice the skills learn.  If a parent requests that the student is not given homework that is also fine. This class will be tailored to your child's needs and interests.
