During our time together we will focus on the areas the student is currently struggling with in Math. It will be engaging and hands on. We will work on getting over any obstacle in the way of success. We will always end the session with a game and time to help with homework if necessary. The lessons will involve learning shortcuts when available and other ways to solve the problems. We will work together to figure out strategies that work for your child. I will adjust my plans for a particular session if the student has a different concern in Math that we need to focus on instead. This tutoring is geared towards kids in 1st-4th grade. We will cover grade level topics, as well as any remediation that may need to occur from a previous grade level

The student will be able to accurately solve grade level math problems in a variety of standards based on his/her grade level.The student will learn strategies, hints and shortcuts to eliminate any obstacles that may be in the way of learning

I have been teaching for 28 years. I have my Masters and my Reading Endorsement. I I have taught multiple grade levels over the years. I am truly looking foward to helping kids feel more confident and prepared for the school year ahead, plus I will be offering classes during the school year to continue that support.
