In this 1-time session, students will receive one-on-one instruction and support in Math based on the needs of the student and using materials provided by the student or parent. Another way to think of this session is "help with understanding and completing your homework". We will walk through the steps of each problem together, so the student will understand the process more fully. I have Master's in Math Education from Western Governor's University, a Bachelor of Science in Education from Tennessee Technological University, and a teaching license from the State of Tennessee. I also homeschooled my children for 9 years. My experience includes professionally tutoring Math for 12 years and 5 years as an Academic Math Coach at Pellissippi State Community College. I have over 7 years experience tutoring students for the ACT Test in all 4 content areas - English, Math, Reading, Science.
Paper and pencils. Their textbook if using a textbook. Access to online class that can be screen shared with me on Outschool. Calculator (Graphing calculator if Algebra or higher - highly recommend TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition) White boards, markers and erasers are helpful, but not required.
