Makeup is extremely personal and different for each person. This lesson gives an individual, who is new to make up, a chance to focus on their personal needs, while learning how to cleans, apply and emphasize their own personal features. One will get individual attention and advice to find their personal colors, undertones, and textures that are personally right for them. The student is encouraged to bring their own makeup, however, this is absolutely NOT required. I will be applying the makeup to myself to show different techniques of how to use the makeup, as well as, informing what the general makeup products are and what they are used for. This class is driven toward adding appropriate knowledge about makeup so one will know what they are looking for when building their first makeup kit! If the student is going to be joining in the fun with applying makeup I have listed below some of the basic materials that I will be using in the "Learner Supplies" section. Also, please note the "Parental Guidance" section about testing for allergies if one is going to be using their own makeup.

If the student is using new makeup, that they have never experienced, I recommend to test the makeup before class to prevent an allergic reactions. I would do a patch test 24 hours before the lesson to prevent any reactions to the makeup during class. I have provided a link for patch testing.

I would recommend for the student to come to class with their face already cleansed and ready to apply if one is going to be putting on their own personal makeup.

I encourage the student to bring questions that they have about makeup and bring their own makeup. One does not need to bring their own makeup. Watching, listening and taking notes is fantastic! Parents or guardians will NOT need to purchase any extra makeup for this class. If a student is bring makeup to the class and has not used the makeup please note about allergies in the "Parental Guidance" section. These are the basic materials that I will be using and discussing for the class: Face moisturizer Primer Foundation Contour/ Highlighter Concealer Eye shadows Blush/ Bronzer Mascara Eyeliner Lipstick/ Lip gloss Eyebrow pencil Mirror Brushes/ Sponges.
