Let's work on your flute playing! This class is a ongoing, weekly private lesson for flutists at any level. Lessons will focus on the musician's individual needs: Flute Basics - hand & body position, embouchure, breathing. Tone - a good flute sound! This is the first thing we hear, and is very important to your flute playing. Technique - scales, thirds, arpeggios, etc. These are the "building blocks" of music. I have over 30 years experience teaching flute to children and adults. I am a freelance flutist, with a bachelors and masters degree in flute performance. I teach flute privately, and at university, and I enjoy working with students of different playing levels and backgrounds. My students have gone on to be successful band directors, orchestra players, university teachers, and lifelong music lovers!

To progress as a musician, the student will need to practice playing their flute outside of class. The student will receive written and/or video feedback after each lesson, with assignments and suggestions to improve their playing. The practice time necessary will vary depending on the student's age and playing level. Practice will be more effective if spaced throughout the week (you can't "cram" for a music lesson).2 - 4 每週課外時間
