Hello and Welcome!
I graduated from the University of Reading (England) in 2013 with my Masters (research) in Children's Literature, and I have been teaching ever since! I have collected a wide range of teaching experience over the years. I have worked with grades 1-12 and university students, and while my specialty is English, I also have experience teaching drama and various other humanities.
My classes are often very discussion-based, as I believe in making safe spaces for new ideas to be carefully examined in order to promote intellectual growth. We don't need to leave with all the answers, but we all get closer to truth when we ask good questions!
I live in Ontario, Canada with two beautiful cats named Nico and Rand who are both named after book characters. I am a big nerd who plays D&D and video games, reads a lot, and loves to be involved in my community. I look forward to the opportunity to get to know your child!
