In this live online Preschool math class, learners are equipped with common core math skills plus more. Classes feature an interactive learning environment led by an energetic teacher. A supportive community where kids feel comfortable taking risks and exploring math with confidence is another bonus. Join us (any time) and give your child a strong foundation in math while having fun!
In class, I will introduce and reinforce math skills appropriate for Pre-K students preparing to enter Kindergarten and beyond. This math club will resemble circle time only in that it will focus on math skills. Homeschool parents can use this class to assist with introducing skills or supplement learning. The main categories that will be introduced are as follows: counting numbers 1-100, the concept of zero, shapes, sorting, positions, patterns, money, measurement, graphing, addition and subtraction. Students will have an opportunity to engage in class by greeting one another, answering questions, sing-alongs, games and show & tell. I will also read math themed stories that correlate to the concept of the day. Students will have an opportunity to practice concepts in class with weekly provided worksheets and engaging in activities. There is lots of movement in class, learning area needs to allow room to move. Class runs for 18 weeks before starting from the beginning. Your child can join anytime, join for an entire school year or join for 18+ weeks.

Hi! My name is Mrs. LaShana! I love teaching math classes. I also love teaching Preschool. I have worked with children for over 15 years. I worked as a daycare teacher for 6 years. I have an Associate's degree in Elementary Education. I also have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Fun fact: Mathematics was my my original major in college until Senior year. I am using all those skills to teach. I am a former homeschool mother of 3 children. I am always learning. I think it is a life-long journey. I think learning should be continuous and exciting! My hobbies are cooking, sewing, and crafting. Interesting fact: I once decorated a mirror filled with pennies!
