In this fun, interactive class, I introduce number sense, mental math and problem solving. Students will start by warming up our 'math brains' by subitizing or math song. We will then have a mini lesson that will focus on a various strategies and tools to build a strong mental math foundation. I am a former Kindergarten and First Grade teacher with 8 years of classroom experience in the top school districts in Texas. I believe that developing number sense in a fun and creative environment, fosters a love for math!
