Welcome to the Pre-Veterinary Summer Camp! In this exciting and educational virtual class, young animal lovers will join me, Ms. Hannah, in exploring the fascinating world of veterinary science. Through an interactive lesson plan, fun facts about animals, and engaging discussions, learners will gain a deeper understanding of what it means to be a veterinarian and how they can care for animals. - Students will learn about different animal species and their characteristics.
- Students will learn about the process of becoming a veterinarian, as well as their day-to-day responsibilities.
- Students will be able to recall key facts about the veterinary field as well as some of the animals that veterinarians work with.
I have a B.S. in Veterinary Science specializing in biomedical science. In addition, I have spent hundreds of hours working at a vet's office, handling domestic animals, and training dogs specifically. For 4 years, I worked as a research assistant in a psychology lab where we studied canine cognition and human interaction, essentially the intersection of dogs and humans. I am a co-author on 2 published peer-reviewed articles on dog behavior.
