This will be a teacher lead math class; concepts will be presented by the teacher and practiced independently. Some lessons will include investigative activities when applicable. All classes will include discussion structured to enhance learning and build community. I will check in weekly with your student and am available most days for any questions that arise. Students should be able to complete the course within six months although, I encourage students to approach the curriculum at a pace that is comfortable for them.

- calculate interest earned and account balances
- represent and interpret relations and functions- write and graph linear equations in two variables
- write and graph linear systems and inequalities
- use square roots and the Pythagorean theorem to solve problems
- identify rational and irrational numbers
- use special right triangles/ trigonometry
