課堂經歷
In this course, we will work on reading music for the piano in C position. We will cover reading Treble Clef and Bass Clef with a sure-fire approach to knowing the notes with 100% accuracy. We will then learn legato articulation and the intervals. In the final stages, we will play songs with both hands at the same time. This is for the young learner who is ready for the next step beyond white key note identification and finger numbers. I will demonstrate the exercises and the learners will participate by performing these exercises to the best of their ability. This class is highly interactive and participation is desired and welcomed! If you love learning music in a group environment then this is the class for you. Learners do not need to complete "Introduction to Piano Fundamentals" to join the class. If you know how to find C position and know some basic rhythms (whole note, half note, quarter note) then you are welcome to join Piano Fundamentals 2. If you have completed other beginning piano courses and are ready for reading music, this class is a great option for continuing your music education. Week 1-Staff reading primer Week 2- Bass and Treble Clef landmarks, reading hands separate Week 3- Reading all 10 notes, note quiz Week 4- Legato Touch and introduction to intervals Week 5- 2nds and 3rds Week 6- Harmonic and Melodic intervals Week 7- 4ths and 5ths Week 8- Hands together performance
學習目標
Students will learn C position in both hands, reading standard notation in Bass and Treble clef, legato vs. non-legato touch, and musical intervals. Towards the end of the eight-week course learners will be eased into the polyphonic possibilities of the piano and play with both hands at the same time.

4. Intermediate Piano Course 1- We jump to the big leagues and master basic chords in C and G position. We move quickly and play more advanced pieces. Quality practice is essential for success in this class.
5. Intermediate Piano Course 2A and 2B- Hanon exercises, an expanded rhythmic vocabulary, and more sophisticated piano pieces are covered in these courses.
6. Intermediate Piano Course 3- Scales, technique, and longer pieces in different keys.
