Hello everyone!
This class is designed to follow on from my 'Let's Learn to read, phonics phase 3 class.'
In this 10 week course, we will meet twice a week to focus on different consonant blends and polysyllabic words that are found in phase 4 phonics. We will also be reviewing the digraphs, trigraphs and tricky words learned in phase 3 phonics. 
Each class will begin with a review section and we will learn consonant blends and polysyllabic words through a story and different activities. Some classes may require you to print a worksheet or booklet to bring to class with you. Any resources will be sent to the classroom each Sunday.
The class order will be as follows:
Week beginning 13th September 2021:
Class 1: Read tricky words said/so. Practice reading CVCC words. Story - Grandad's Watch 
Class 2: Revise tricky words. Practice reading adjacent consonant words. Story - Back to the Stone Age.
Week beginning 20th September 2021:
Class 1: Practice spelling words he/she. Practice reading adjacent consonant words. Story - Cousin Mist.  
Class 2: Practice writing tricky words - me/be/we. Practice writing labels for the cave. Story - The Cave Family
Week beginning 27th September 2021:
Class 1: Revise tricky words learned. Practice reading adjacent consonant words. Story - Felt and Wilf  (Shared reading)
Class 2: Revise phase 3 digraphs & trigraphs. Practice reading tricky words have, like, some, come. Story - The Train Trip.
Week beginning 4th October 2021:
Class 1: Revise phase 3 digraphs & trigraphs. Practice reading CCVC words. Story - A Mountain Walk.
Class 2: Revise phase 3 digraphs & trigraphs. Practice writing words - was/you. Story - The Magic Map.
Week beginning 11th October 2021:
Class 1: Revise phase 3 digraphs & trigraphs. Introduce writing CCVC words. Story - On Everest.
Class 2: Revise phase 3 digraphs & trigraphs. Practice writing CCVC words. Story - The Trip to Everest (Shared reading)
Week beginning 18th October 2021:
Class 1: Revise phase 3 digraphs & trigraphs. Practice reading tricky words - were/there/little/one. Story - Going Camping.
Class 2:Revise phase 3 digraphs & trigraphs. Practice reading adjacent consonants anywhere in the word. Story - Putting up the tent.
Week beginning 25th October 2021:
Class 1: Revise phase 3 digraphs & trigraphs. Practice writing tricky words - they/are/all. Story - The Camp Fire.
Class 2:Revise phase 3 digraphs & trigraphs. Practice writing words with adjacent consonants. Story - A day at the beach.
Week beginning 1st November 2021:
Class 1: Revise phase 3 digraphs & trigraphs. Practice reading words with adjacent consonants. Story - The Camping Trip (Shared reading)
Class 2: Revise level 3 sounds and level 4 tricky words. Practice reading tricky words - do/when/out/what. Story - The Stormy Day.
Week beginning 8th November 2021:
Class 1: Revise level 3 sounds and level 4 tricky words. Introduce and practice reading polysyllabic words. Story - Finding a Good Book.
Class 2:Revise level 3 sounds and level 4 tricky words. Practice writing words her/my. Story - To Pirate Island.
Week beginning 15th November 2021:
Class 1: Revise level 3 sounds and level 4 tricky words. Introduce new words with polysyllabic sounds. Story - Fran the Pirate.
Class 2:Revise level 3 sounds and level 4 tricky words. Practice reading and writing polysyllabic words. Story -  The Storm (Shared reading)
