In this engaging one-time course, learners will practice vowel sounds, learn the letters B, and M, learn the sight word "a," and begin reading CVC words and sentences. Interactive activities and bright visuals will keep students involved with their learning as we sort uppercase and lowercase letters and vowels and consonants, practice writing letters on the screen, play a game to reinforce the lesson material, and more! Learners will:
practice an ABC chant
learn the letters B and M-- recognition, writing, and sounds
know what sounds the short vowels make (phonemes of a, e, i, o, u)
start to be aware that certain letters make certain sounds (phonemic awareness)
begin blending sounds and reading words
