What will be taught?
In this fun and interactive class, young learners will develop early reading skills by focusing on CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words and word families. Each session will introduce a new word family or CVC sound, followed by engaging activities to help students practice reading, spelling, and recognizing patterns in words.

What topics will you cover?
   * Introduction to phonics and letter sounds
   * Blending and segmenting CVC words (e.g., cat, dog, sit)
   * Learning different word families (-at, -et, -op, etc.), one per class
   * Reading and spelling simple words within the featured word family
   * Fun and interactive activities to reinforce phonemic awareness
   * Sight word recognition to support fluency

How is your class structured?
   * Each class follows a structured but engaging format:
          - Welcome
          - Introduction of the Word Family or CVC Sound: Using visual aids and interactive slides, I will introduce the featured sound or pattern.
          - Practice & Activities: word-building exercises, reading and spelling practice, interactive phonics games, fun movement or hands-on activities to reinforce learning
          - Wrap-up & Review: a closing game or mini-challenge to review the words we learned.

How will I teach?
   * This class is highly interactive, using a variety of teaching methods to engage different learning styles:
          - Visual & Auditory: colorful slides, chants, and songs to reinforce phonics patterns.
          - Kinesthetic & Hands-on: movement-based learning, tracing/finger-tracing, and interactive word-building.
          - Engaging & Playful: games and challenges that make learning fun and exciting.

What's my teaching style?
