As New York Times describes, "Pete loves Halloween and candy but not so much scary surprises. Follow Pete as he goes trick-or-treating from house to house and discover what is waiting behind each door.

In this class, we will read a fun Pete the Cat book about how he goes door to door trick-or-treating, while seeing who's behind each door.  Then we will talk about the story sequence of events with students putting them in order on their worksheet.  Lastly, we will draw a picture of a Halloween costume idea of how we might dress up. Students are encouraged to dress up in a costume if they'd like, and we'll discuss if we like surprises or not.  (Psst-Teacher Miranda does NOT like to be scared, so this is NOT a scary class!) 

**Age-appropriate, NO scary costumes or weapons allowed for class, including masks that may frighten students.  Masks are welcome. However, masks should be removed for identification during the first five minutes or so of class to meet safety and privacy policies.  If your student attends in something that could scare another student, they will be immediately removed from class without a refund.  The educator will vet costumes to ensure they meet Outschool standards (secular, age-appropriate, etc.). When in doubt, don't wear it.**
