Hello! There are 4 pre-recorded videos. Each video is 10 minutes or less, and the student will be able to move through the course quickly. The student will learn how to write a well-organized paragraph and how to incorporate descriptive language (using imagery) within their paragraph. The student will be challenged to write a paragraph so enticing to the reader, that the reader will have to go out, buy the ingredients, and make the peanut butter and jelly sandwich exactly as the student has described.

The student will learn how to write a well-organized paragraph with topic sentence, supporting details, wrap-up sentence, and transitions.
The student will learn how to use descriptive writing, such as the use of imagery and "descriptive verbs," within their paragraph.

I will read a GOOD paragraph to the student, and I will critique it.
I will point out the topic sentence, supporting details, transitions, and wrap-up sentence.

Grade your essay using a rubric
Student will be shown how to use the attached rubric to grade their paragraph.
Student will be encouraged to send me their best paragraph along with their grade (not required), and I will respond with a comment or two.
Student will be encouraged to read their paragraph to friends and family members.
