Join me in this one-time interactive class. Your child will learn to identify the parts of a book, sequencing, parts of an apple, and we will review the life cycle of apples while listening to an informative fall story, Apples by Gail Gibbons. During this class, your child will be introduced to the parts of a book. Next, I will read the story to the students. Following the story, we will also review parts of an apple after our story with a craftivity. If time allows we will practice...
Students will learn about the life cycle of an apple. Students will learn about the parts of a book. Students will practice pre-reading skills such as reading from left to right and top to bottom. Students will understand words represent a spoken word and convey a message. Students will answer simple questions about the story. Students will describe elements in a story, for example, characters and/or setting (time, place, and/or environment). Students will practice graphing skills.
