This class is intended for students that have taken some of my parasitology classes and already have knowledge about parasites. Each week, students will be presented with a different case study. They will be given relevant background information of a fictional patient and the symptoms they are suffering from. Students will attempt to identify the parasitic infection. They can work together and propose diagnostic tests or ask other questions that may be relevant. From this information, including the results of their proposed diagnostic tests, they will be able to determine the parasite. Once they have established which disease we are dealing with we will further discuss the parasite and how the students came to their conclusion. Week of June 5th, 2023: Case Report #1 Week of June 12th 2023: Case Report #2 Week of June 19th 2023 Case Report #3 Week of June 26th 2023 Case Report #4 Week of July 3rd 2022 Case Report #5 ** Please note that this course is purely for educational purposes and is not meant to provide medical training or medical services**

Students are asked to analyze ficticious case studies only in order to better understand the parasites and how they affect their hosts and to allow for further discussion.
