My Paleontology Series can be taken in any order. We will go over what we thought we knew about prehistoric animals and how scientists changed their minds with new evidence. This hilarious class will show that even scientists make mistakes and we may still have it wrong today! Not only will students learn about dinosaurs, they will practice their informational writing skills. Students will practice cause and effect statements and create an oral paragraph together. Organizing our thoughts is the first step to writing essays. An optional writing template will be provided after class.

Students will understand that scientists use evidence to make conclusions and will be able to describe what mistakes we have made over time.
Students will work on cause and effect relationships and be able to orally express main ideas and details.
Students will use information gathered in this class to make conclusions about dinosaur misconceptions.
