課堂經歷
We will explore the artwork of the Great Artists in this ongoing, weekly class. We will study and discuss the art of Monet, Matisse, Cezanne, Dali., Klimt, Chagall, Van Gogh, and more. We will learn about the art movements they inspired. We will learn about art basics including color, lines, subject matter, perspective, and techniques. We will look at art by the masters and discuss what they mean to us. Then we will create a work of art inspired by the art of the masters in this ongoing course. (Note: The class may run over or under by a few minutes depending on the art project for the day. If a student has not finished their art project during class, they may have to finish it on their own time.) You can join at any time. This course runs for 12 weeks (with some vacation and holiday breaks). I encourage children to participate fully in my classes. All of the art projects are designed for the student's age. They should be able to complete the projects themselves. Art is not about perfection at this age, it is about expression. Materials needed for this ongoing class: Your artist will need a good, basic art kit - A variety of paintbrushes including flat, round, angle, and mop in various sizes A good set of acrylic paints (in tubes or bottles) A palette and at least two plastic plates A set of chalk pastels and a set of oil pastels. A good set of drawing pencils and a moldable eraser. Mixed media art paper of at least 9 X 12 inches Two cups of water ( and extra water for cleaning brushes), paper towels, or rags for cleaning brushes and hands (Optional but recommended) Spray Fixative for charcoal and pastels Students should have art paper, pencils, and erasers for every class. Other supplies may be needed for individual classes. Please see the list below. ____________________________________________ We will study a new artist each week.
