Class will be taught via live video chat. A board-certified music therapist will use slides, lecture, audio/video clips, and live examples to provide a brief overview of the field of music therapy. I have been a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC) for more than 20 years. I have experience supervising and instructing undergraduate and graduate music therapy students and students in related professions in several settings.
The instructor will recommend several introductory textbooks, websites, videos, and articles for students who are interested in further exploration. None of these are required, and no preparation is required prior to coming to this one-time class.
