Hello,  

My name is Stephanie, and I love to help learners embrace who they are and gain knowledge in their unique interests daily!  My specialties are in teaching phonics and how to read with play-based techniques...guiding learners with dyslexia through the Orton-Gillingham approach...and helping each child feel comfortable to thrive as an individual human being!  I have experience teaching in Montessori schools that I will be sharing in my classes as well.  It is so important to meet each learner's needs in a variety of ways.  I love using a multi-sensory approach to engage each learner and provide a memorable experience. I will be offering piano classes as well, utilizing my background of 21 years of experience. I can't wait to see you!

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a Major in Language Arts.  I also have training in the Orton Gillingham approach for systematic, sequential, hands-on, multi-sensory  instruction to help learners feel empowered in their lifelong reading!  My furthering of education has helped me in teaching all grades from Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade in Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education, and Innovation Days over the past seven years.  I have served in Private, Public, Charter and Montessori schools as a joyful, lead teacher.  I weave Montessori and multi-sensory practices into my teaching for engaged learning and a long-lasting impact.  We love to play fun games that make learning enjoyable, social, and interactive too!   

Every lesson should be a powerful experience.  I believe that learning should help your child feel confident, successful, loved, empowered, and ready to take on the world!  Every child is important in my classroom and should leave happier than when they joined!

I love learning and can't wait to meet your learners and adapt to their learning styles and interests!  I am very receptive to feedback and like to make each learner feel special and important.  I love meeting children where they are and taking the journey with them into a whole new world! Every child is so integral!

I live with my beautiful cat, Little Buddy, and my wonderful husband, Isaiah, on one gorgeous acre of land with a cute creek.  We love to laugh, play, and engage with other wildlife.  I love to sit on my porch and play the piano or guitar surrounded by sunshine and changing leaves.  Crafting is another fun hobby.  All of these wonderful hobbies I love to share with the little ones! My favorite person is my husband, who is always creating robots, 3-D printing, or concocting some inventive idea. Together we make a great little family of many strengths!  I can't wait to share time with you and your wonderful family as well.  Thank you for taking time to get to know me today.
