課堂經歷
In this class we will learn how to make origami Daruma. Before we begin, we will talk briefly about what Daruma are, where they came from, and how they are used in Japanese culture. After we learn how to make origami Daruma, there will be a bit of time for students to decorate their Daruma using "lucky" Japanese characters. A powerpoint format is utilized to present information about Daruma and origami instructions. No previous knowledge of Japanese language or culture is required, but this origami project is considered to be low-intermediate difficulty. If students do not have much experience with origami, I recommend getting larger sized origami paper to make it easier to work with. For this origami it is also helpful to have one side that is patterned and another side that is blank or patterned differently. This makes it easier to tell where the front and back side of the origami paper is.

供應清單
-solid or simple patterned origami paper in any standard size (such as 15x15cm, 20x20cm, or 30x30cm). This origami project is beginner-intermediate, so using a larger paper size may make things easier. It is also helpful to get origami paper that is patterned or colored on one side with another side that is blank or patterned differently. This makes it easier to tell where the front and back side of the origami paper is. -markers, colored pencils, or crayons for decorating. (optional)
