Welcome to the Ongoing Scratch Coding Club! Each week, students will build a brand new game using Scratch, the block-based programming platform from MIT. We'll go beyond basic tutorials, diving into game logic, storytelling, sound, animation, and debugging. Kids will have fun while learning computational thinking and building a portfolio of original games!

Students can join any week—no need to start at the beginning. Each week stands alone with a fresh project!

Week-by-Week Plan:
Week 1	🎯 Fruit Catcher	Conditionals, loops, sprite movement
Week 2	🚀 Space Dodger	Cloning, forever loops, keyboard input
Week 3	🐸 Frogger Clone	Grid movement, broadcast messages
Week 4	🧱 Brick Breaker (Paddle Game)	Ball physics, if-else statements, scoring
Week 5	🐉 Dragon Flyer (Endless Runner)	Gravity, variables, sprite animation
Week 6	🧁 Cupcake Clicker	Clicker game logic, increasing difficulty
Week 7	🧠 Memory Match Game	Lists, matching logic, hiding/showing sprites
Week 8	🕹️ Maze Escape	Collision detection, sound effects
Week 9	💥 Zombie Blaster	Shooting mechanics, clones, score tracking
Week 10	J🦸 Platform Jumper	Gravity, jumping logic, camera scrolling

REQUIREMENTS FOR CLASS:
Coding:
1. Students will be required to have a desktop computer or a laptop to take this class in order to code on Scratch 3.0. Students should not be using tablets or iPad's.
2. Students are required to have a keyboard during class, this will help them code.
3. Students may take the class with one device but they will need to have two screens opened at the same time. 
4. Students are required to have an account with Scratch. This will help them save their projects. The website is: https://scratch.mit.edu/
Zoom:
1. It is strongly encouraged to have two devices. One device for Zoom (laptop, desktop computer or tablet) and a second device for coding (no tablets or iPad's).
