課堂經歷
Coding is the new literacy! And learning a few words in a new language is fun! In this ongoing class, the students will learn coding by creating fun interactive projects in Scratch. Scratch is a free programming language and online community where you can create your own interactive stories, games, and animations. The student will also learn about the Armenian language. They will learn a new word, phrase, sentence or letter each week. Experience: No prior coding or experience is required. Must know: Students need to be able to use a computer. Knowing how to click, right click and drag and drop and is required. Recommended: Being able to go back and forth between Zoom and Scratch websites or having someone to help at the start of class would be needed if you are using only one device. Having a mouse is helpful but not required only if the learner knows how to drag and drop and right click without a mouse. Tentative weekly topics: Week of May 1: Game and a new Armenian word Week of May 8: Animation and a new phrase Week of May 15 : Game and a new word Week of May 22: Interactive story and a new word Note: If your learner knows other languages, like Spanish, Chinese, Tagalog, Vietnamese, German, etc. and wants to make projects in that language and you have at least 4 learners I will create another class for you. I don't know these languages, but I can help your learners make interesting games, interactive stories and animations in Scratch.
